That is in the past. Let's worry about the present and what is going on right now. Nothing against african american's but honestly when I am on my own and I am trying to make it in life and go to college and I can't get in because there is no grants for me thats just rediculous. I understand that has really nothing to do with what cure is all about but come on if we worried about what is going on now, back then that probably wouldn't have happened right!

I do understand that the thought of reparations offers a warm fuzzy to your members but you all need to get a bit closer to reality. There are some important truths that you need to recognize. First, if you are stating that the government pay reparations out of "guilt" as an emotion, that would be impossible. Guilt is a human emotion, governments are not human, therefore they cannot feel guilt. That means that only citizens of that government could feel "guilt" and they would only have to pay voluntarily as not all of them would feel that "guilt".

I shall not try to persuade these poor, misguided souls concerning their very pressing need to make amends for the so-called historical wrongs done to the African Negroes. So, I shall ask you this. How much money have y'all contributed towards this absurdity called reparations for slavery? How much of this money has come out of your own pockets? Have y'all sold your homes and given all the money to some more deserving ghetto-raised momma and her half dozen kids, each by a different breeder? Or has the money been given to Michael Jordan? Oprah Winfrey? Bill Cosby?

Since your organization seems obsessed with the past sufferings of Blacks at the hands of Whites, I would like to ask you how your organization classifies "White" people. Is it purely by skin color? Or would there be some sort of preliminary genetic testing required before you extort people for more handouts? What if a person is half-White? Do the Western concepts of what justice and liberty are mean ANYTHING at all to you?

Reparations are immoral. I am the descendant of German and Polish immigrants who came to this country in the late 1800s. Slavery had been illegal for nearly thirty years when my descendants came to the United States. I will not, and I repeat, I will not allow for my money to be used by the descendants of slaves while I, myself, never contributed to the problem, nor did my parents or my grandparents. D. KOLLE

You people disgust me. When white males are denied jobs at every turn alongside educational opportunities and scholarships designed ONLY for members of the designated groups and the principle of equality has been wholly paved over, you dare to suggest that whites owe anything!?
